Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined programs require access to the UOP facility.  Athletes can purchase a season pass at the UOP front desk Small Hills $60.00 / Large Hills $100.00.

Cross Country

DEVO

XC Devo summer training is a fun way to stay active and build fitness during the off-season. We focus on being outdoors, team-building and sportsmanship.  Practices include a variety of activities such as running, mountain biking, agility, games, relays, hiking, skills course, swimming and intro to rollerskiing. Participants will work on developing sport specific cross-country skills while increasing strength, flexibility and speed. We will offer two optional overnight camps.  Athletes can choose 2-4 days per week to train.

  • Dates: Summer (June 10 - Aug 16) and/or Fall (Aug 26-Oct 26)
  • Schedule:
    • Summer: Mon, Tues, Wed and/or Thurs, 9:30-11:30am
    • Fall: Mon, Wed, Thurs, 4:00-5:30pm
  • Ages: 10-12 years
  • Skill Requirement: Ability to ride a bike and run
  • Participant Maximum: None
  • Cost: $300 - $500
 
DEVO PLUS

Devo Plus Includes a variety of outdoor endurance activities including running, classic and skate rollerskiing, mountain biking, agility, games, relays, hiking, and swimming. More distance training is incorporated to prepare young athletes to join the Competitive Team. Skiers will begin to apply and understand basic training principles of cross country ski training. Practices will become more ski specific as the summer progresses and will include a variety of games, drills, speeds, intervals, distance sessions and technique workouts. The program helps promote a love of the outdoors, sportsmanship and teamwork.  We will offer two optional overnight camps.  Athletes can choose 2-4 days per week to train.

  • Dates: Summer (June 10 - Aug 16) and/or Fall (Aug 26-Oct 26)
  • Schedule: Mon, Tues, Wed and/or Thurs, 9:30-11:30am
  • Ages: 12-14 years

Competitive Team

Training focuses on building strength and endurance as well as developing technique. Skiers will train 5-6 days a week. Workouts will include running, classic and skate rollerskiing, strength training, biking, agility, speed, and technique. The spring and summer training is essential to building fitness, strength and endurance. The fall focus shifts to building max vo2 and power. During the winter season the Comp Team members compete in local, regional, national and international races. The team will also have 3-4 dryland or on snow training camps in summer and fall.  

  • Dates: Annual (4/29/19 - 3/06/20) or Summer (4/29 - 8/16) and/or Fall (8/26 - 10/25)

Ski Jumping

Sugar Glider Camp

Looking to turbocharge your Agility, Balance, Coordination, and of course speed? This camp is for girls and boys ages 8-12 years old who have the ability level to ski blue runs. They will need their own alpine skis and boots. The sport of Ski Jumping builds Character, Confidence, and Courage in safe and inclusive environment.

  • Dates: June 10-13, Jul 8-11, Aug 12-15
  • Schedule: Mon-Thurs, 8:00am-1:00pm

Small Hills Ski Jumping - 2 days

Want to test out Ski Jumping and build ski skills in a fun and dynamic environment?  Small Hills – Level 1 is an entry-level program geared toward young skiers who are interested in learning basic ski jumping (ABC) skills on the HS10 meter jump and up. Skiers will not only ski jump but also work on general strength, agility, balance, flexibility and endurance, with emphasis on motor skill development. Fun off-site activities such as gymnastics, hockey, soccer, and hiking/running are also included. Athletes may be split into developmentally appropriate groups.

  • *Dates & Schedule: May 1-Jun 5 (Wed 4:30-6:00pm), Jun 10-Aug 15 (Mon & Thurs 8:00am-1:00pm), Aug 21-Oct 26 (Wed 4:00-6:30pm, Sat 8:00am-1:00pm)
  • Ages: 7-11 years
  • Skill Requirement: Intermediate skiing, Independent equipment management
  • Cost: $1,300 or Drop-In $35/day 
 
Small Hills Ski Jumping - 4 days

This program is the bridge between the Youth level 1 and 2 programs and Development Level 3 program. This is for the athlete who is showing he or she is ready to step up to the Development program and is willing to commit more time to specific skill building and more intense strength, flexibility, fitness, cardio and on hill training. This program adds more to the Level 1 program by including the athlete into the Development program on specific physical training days and ski jumping/Nordic Combined sessions. This program will continue to enhance the athlete’s (ABC’S) Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed with emphasis on ski jumping and Nordic Combined.

  • *Dates & Schedule: May 1-Jun 5 (Wed 4:30-6:00pm), Jun 10-Aug 15 (Mon & Thurs 8:00am-1:00pm), Aug 21-Oct 26 (Wed 4:00-6:30pm, Sat 8:00am-1:00pm)

Development Ski Jumping – Level 3

The Development team signifies a commitment to year-round training. This program focus is a transition from learning to train to training to train with goals of measurable improvement in overall sport skills, strength, agility, flexibility, stamina, speed and coordination as well as sport specific skills. The athlete’s biological maturation dictates the level of specialization and the training intensity/load. This program will participate in divisional competitions and have an opportunity to travel nationally for junior age competitions.

  • Schedule: Ski Jumping 3 days/week, Dry Land 2 days/week (days/times TBD)

Comp Team Ski Jumping – Level 4

This is the highest level of programming offered to High school to postgraduate athletes and athletes looking to maximize their athletic potential. Skiers jump the HS68 – HS134 meter jumps with emphasis on strength/power, ski jumping technique, and competition. Skiers compete locally, regionally, nationally and internationally with the mentality of training to compete and win. The program is available by invitation only. Summer schedule will be 6 days a week on a normal training week. There will be a few scheduled weeks off once FIS summer schedule is set.

Recreation Ski Jumping

This program is for athletes who wants to stay active in ski jumping but is not looking for a competitive daily environment and is able to jump the HS10 - HS134. This program includes minimal on-hill supervision. If you are looking to have fun at the legacy facility come on out and soar with us. Must have past ski jumping experience and own equipment.

  • Skill Requirement: HS10 - HS134 jumps per coach approval

USANS Junior National Team

This is the highest level of programming offered to USANS Junior National Team athletes. Athletes jump the HS68 – HS134 meter jumps with emphasis on strength/power, ski jumping and xc ski technique, dryland xc ski training (including roller skiing), and competition. Skiers compete locally, regionally, nationally and internationally with the mentality of training to compete and win. Summer schedule will be 6 days a week on a normal training week. There will be a few scheduled weeks off once FIS summer schedule is set. All USANS Junior National Team members all need to be a member of a club to be eligible for the USANS JNT.
