Summer endurance athlete strength training

This 15 week program is for year round mountain athletes. It is designed to build a base for winter racing, as well as to complement summer mountain biking and trail running.  Athletes will work closely with the PCSS Nordic Comp Team.

  • Dates: May 13 - August 22 
  • May Schedule:
    • Mon 6:00 - 7:15AM
    • Thur 3:30 - 5:00PM
  • June, July & August Schedule
    • Mon 7:00 - 8:30AM
    • Thur 3:30 - 5:00PM
  • Ages: 13+ 
  • Location: US Ski & Snowboard Center of Excellence
  • Coaching: Will Horstmann (PCSS Head Strength Coach, Masters in Sports Science, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach)
  • Cost: $450 ($30 USSA General Membership also required of participants)

Fall SkiMo Strength & Conditioning

This 10-Week Program is designed to build a base of strength, stability and muscular endurance to prepare for the winter Skimo season.  

Strength training for Skimo will make our athletes more efficient and resilient while reducing the risk of injuries.

  • Dates: Aug 28 - Oct. 30
  • Schedule: Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:30PM
  • Ages: 13+ (No prior strength training necessary.  This is for all Skimo athletes willing to put in a little extra off-season work and highly encouraged for all Race Team athletes)
  • Location: US Ski & Snowboard’s Center of Excellence
  • Coaching: Will Horstmann (PCSS Head Strength Coach, Masters in Sports Science, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach), PCSS Skimo Staff
    Cost: $200 ($30 USSA General Membership also required of participants)
