PCSS Snowboard offers the following summer programs.
Snowboarding has been inspired by skateboarding since its inception. Our summer skate program is designed with that in mind. With guidance from our staff, athletes of all abilities have a place in this program. This year we will have two options for skate camp: First Drops, and Sk8 Camp. First Drops is a beginner only session while Sk8 camp is designed for those already familiar with skating.
First Drops is a 4-day weekly program that focuses on skill development in a familiar setting where riders are able to show up everyday and know exactly what features are present. This program provides great opportunities to perfect the basics and build from one day to the next. First Drops is built for new and beginner skaters.
*Camp must have at least 3 participants registered 2 weeks prior to camp start date. If this number is not reached, registrants will be contacted and receive a full refund.
Each scheduled day Mon/Tue/Thurs/Fri, we will meet at Trailside at 9:00 am ready to skate. At 11:30am, riders will break for lunch (supervised). After lunch, riders will continue to skateboard until 1pm. Pickup will be at 1:00 PM each day.
Helmets are mandatory and not provided. Other pads are a personal preference and optional. Campers must bring water, snacks, and lunch.
Provide a safe, fun and structured learning environment for to learn basic skateboarding skills (balancing on board, pushing, kick turns, dropping in) allowing riders more confidence to skate on their own and to attend other Sk8 Camp sessions.
